What is the Senior Class Gift?
The Senior Class gift is your first opportunity to give back to UCR. The money raised through the Senior Gift campaign is designed to provide funding for the needs of the campus that are not generally supported by tuition or through state support.
This year, your elected ASUCR government has chosen to initiate a "Green Dream" campaign in order to support an environmentally conscious UCR. The goal of this project is to have all seniors participate at any level. Funds generated through the 2008 Senior Gift will help the University’s recycling efforts by distributing bins, paper and other items all across the campus.
Moreover, money raised by all seniors through this campaign will be doubled dollar for dollar by an anonymous donor to the university. The UCR Fund will be contacting you this month with further information regarding the 2008 Senior Class Gift. You also have the option of making your gift online at www.ucrfund.ucr.edu or at the Grad Fair on May 6th - May 8th.
Why We Give...
Whether or not you receive financial aid while you are at UCR, your education has been partially financed by private support. Tuition and stated funding makes up less than 2/3 of the actual cost of a UCR education — gifts from alumni, our parents and friends make up the rest.
The Class of 2008 and future classes have been fortunate to receive support from those who came before us, and now we must continue the tradition for current and future students.
